Don’t Follow a System That Wasn’t Designed for You

For most of my life I felt like I don’t fit in. I tried, but it’s like swimming towards the surface to catch a breath with all you have while something is pulling you back down trying to show you where the real treasure is. So I’m not fighting it anymore, I’m embracing it. It just took me 25 years to figure out.

A lot of people are so set on following a system that someone else has designed for them. I can’t get my head around it. Don’t get me wrong, a lot of people like the system and that’s ok. Everyone’s different. But I know there are people that feel the same way that are stuck in their thinking.

I’ve been told I think too much. I do like to think about stuff. But how some people complain about their situation and yet don’t give a crap about what they do with their time to change it, I will never understand. It kinda pisses me off. This is IT. This is your time. What do you want to leave behind? How do you want to spend your time?

Get comfortable being uncomfortable. Fight for a life where you are able to experience the magic of this world every day. It’s like you can talk about your dreams and goals but don’t be too weird about it, you might offend someone. Stay where you are DO NOT explore what’s outside of the “system”. Be “safe”. Grow up.

It’s extremely refreshing to find someone who shares this idea, who knows, just like you, that there’s an unlimited amount of possibilities to do whatever it is you want to do, you just gotta make a decision and be patient. I’m lucky to have someone by my side every day who shares this idea. Don’t follow a system that wasn’t designed for you.

Think about it for a sec. This is your life. You live it ONCE. Just some Monday thoughts written down in 2 minutes since Facebook asked me “what’s on your mind?”.

Maybe there’s more to Drakes’ “yolo” than one might think…
